Tonight I drove my friend Danielle to the airport. She's moving back to the mainland, back to landlock and snow and sweater weather.

After we unloaded her fifteen bags from my car and dumped them all on the curb, she gave me a huge hug and promised to keep in touch.

She better! I will miss her.
